Nvidia deciding to Invest $5B in Intel.
A primary driver for the partnership is the joint development of custom products for both data centres and Superior Personal computers (PCs).
The collaboration is expected to create highly competitive products by integrating Intel’s main computing chips (x86 architecture) with NVIDIA’s powerful graphics chips.
The resulting x86 laptop with fully integrated NVIDIA graphics is predicted to be probably the best product in the market which will deliver maximum functionality.
Why Oracle is winning in AI Race?
Oracle is emerging as a major player in the AI compute market. They secured a massive deal with OpenAI worth over $300 billion for computing resources over several years.
Oracle is successful because they have a massive balance sheet and are not tied down to using specific hardware or networking like some competitors.
Unlike some competitors who build massive data centers themselves, Oracle is nimble because they often lease or co-engineer data centers from other companies. This allows them to quickly snatch up large amounts of power capacity worldwide.
Is the AI boom just another dot-com bubble?
The answer depends on what we leave behind.
The dot-com bust was painful, but it left us with a massive, productive asset: a global fiber-optic network. This infrastructure paved the way for the next 20 years of innovation.
The question for the AI boom is: what will we be left with?
Scenario A — We spend trillions on GPUs with a 3–5 year lifespan. The bubble pops, and we’re left with a lot of expensive, outdated silicon.
Scenario B — The investment forces us to build lasting infrastructure — new power plants, next-gen data centers, and a resilient energy grid.
True, long-term value isn’t in the chips that depreciate, but in the foundational assets that will power our economy for decades.
